Area Resources for Community & Human Services (ARCHS) received the "Organization of the Year" Award at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Tribute Breakfast, hosted by Saint Louis University and The Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis. ARCHS was chosen to win one of four awards for carrying out MLK's vision through their strategic community partnerships.
Other award recipients included Dr. Art McCoy of Jennings School District for the "Education Leadership Award," Dr. Denise Hooks-Anderson of Saint Louis University for the "Donald Brennan Humanitarian Award," Congressman William Lacy Clay for the "Political Leadership Award," and Michael Neidorff of Centene Corporation for the "Whitney M. Young Humanitarian Award."
