Gateway Center for Giving & Network for Strong Communities present:
Missouri Common Grant Application (CGA) Version 2.0: Orientation for Nonprofits
Wednesday, July 11, 2018

The Gateway Center for Giving is pleased to announce the release of a new version of the Missouri Common Grant Application (CGA), a popular grantmaking tool that allows grantmakers and grantseekers to work from a common set of questions and definitions that reinforce solid nonprofit and philanthropic practices. CGA Version 2.0 incorporates important questions that reflect a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). A DEI framework informs the work of both grantmakers and nonprofits and offers a mechanism to address the profound disparities in opportunity that exist for marginalized groups.

Join us for a free orientation to the Missouri Common Grant Application (CGA) Version 2.0, during which staff from the Gateway Center for Giving and the Network for Strong Communities will present on how to effectively use the tool. Nonprofits that are considering submitting grant applications to foundations that accept the CGA are encouraged to join us for this session.

At this orientation, attendees will:
  • Become acquainted with the structure of and changes included in the CGA Version 2.0;
  • Have an opportunity to ask questions about the CGA Version 2.0's format; and
  • Learn how the CGA Version 2.0 can and should be used by grantseekers.
WHEN: Wednesday, July 11, 2018; 8:30am-10:00am
  • 8:30am-9:00am = Networking and light breakfast
  • 9:00am-10:00am = Missouri Common Grant Application Version 2.0 Orientation
WHERE: Network for Strong Communities (formerly Nonprofit Services Center)
OPEN TO: All nonprofit grantseekers, particularly those planning to submit grant applications to foundations that accept the CGA Version 2.0

We encourage attendees to review the CGA forms, including the User Guide, before the workshop.
